Large prestigious international law firm are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and diligent Designer to join their thriving in-house creative team to help create some of the materials that bring their vibrant brand to life.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing & Brand, the Design Executive will be supporting the Designer, and wider Business Development & Marketing team with the creation and administration of graphic, video and occasionally audio assets to support the firm’s digital and offline activities. The scope includes working with, administering and adding content to the firm’s website and digital publications, creation of new brand assets, designing for email marketing, digital advertising, print publications, social media, video as well as podcast editing and production.

This new permanent role will be working the hours of 9:30am – 5:30pm on a full-time permanent basis, offering an annual salary of up to £42,000. The firm have a hybrid working policy of 3 days per week in their City of London office, and 2 days per week working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support on the creation of business development branded content such as invites, placemats, smaller pitch documents, templates and other business development materials when required
  • Editing and recolouring of illustrations, and on brand creation when required
  • Acting as brand guardian ensuring consistency across templates and marketing materials adhering to brand style
  • Reviewing and ensuring PowerPoint decks and other marketing materials are on brand
  • Helping marketing & BD colleagues source brand-approved imagery and provide a touch-up and cropping service as required, including head shot cropping of staff photos
  • Creation of front covers and banners for both online and offline marketing materials in keeping with brand style
  • Creation, administration and organisation of brand assets, including the illustrations library which forms a key part of the brand. This includes ensuring all illustrations are available to the firm
  • Help produce innovative and creative digital content such as interactive data visualisations using a variety of tools
  • Work with the BD, and client teams to help support their goals with design support
  • Work with the wider digital marketing team to upload, add and refine content on the various digital marketing and brand channels such as email marketing, social media and website platforms
  • Help the designer create and edit email marketing templates and work on improving designs and processes
  • Collect, organise and keep up to illustrations and logos for the use of the wider team
  • Following direction to design/market our materials and present them better visually and on brand
  • Image editing
  • Podcast editing
  • Video editing
  • Supporting the Designer with the creation and design of infographics and data visualisations animations, GIFs and videos, as well as static banners, email marketing, website and ad platforms and ensuring all on brand
  • Reformatting and repurposing content to fit different channels and use cases, including digital content so it can work in print formats and vice versa (e.g. a webpage becoming a flyer, or a flyer becoming an animated video) when required
  • Assist in creating, and auditing lists of assets, marketing materials including credentials statements, flyers and brochures, and logging performance against them when appropriate

Experience & Knowledge

  • At least 2 years design experience in a corporate environment – a professional services firm would be advantageous
  • Portfolio of previous corporate work
  • Experience with PowerPoint design
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign required. After Effects, Dreamweaver and Premier Pro would be advantageous
  • Experience managing and optimising the organisation of creative assets
  • Knowledge and experience of web design technologies such as HTML, CSS and JS desirable
  • Prior experience of working with social media, websites/ content management systems, email marketing and audio/video is desirable
  • Graduate with a relevant professional qualification, or marketing and /or business qualification is desirable
