Community Mental Health Nurse Pay Rate: £30 per hour (assignment rate)

Location: Lambeth, Greater London

Contract Type: Locum, Ongoing and Full-time

Duties of the Community Mental Health Nurse:

  • Leading and supporting junior staff to deliver person centred care
  • Formulating and documenting a plan of nursing care where possible in partnership with Service Users, carers, family and friends including personal choices/likes/dislikes/wishes
  • Coordinate junior staff and oversee the admission and discharge of service users, ensuring needs of the patient and service including relevant legislative or required documentation are completed
  • Supporting the ward manager to handle and escalate complaints
  • Undertaking role or feedback to Nurse in-Charge, ward manager and ward staff as appropriate

Requirements of the Community Mental Health Nurse:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
  • Experience working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse
  • NMC Registration
  • Experience working in an NHS setting
  • Having knowledge of medication being administered and side effects
