About the Role

In this role, you lead EMEA payroll operations overseeing the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Region. You ensure accurate and timely processing of EMEA payroll in compliance with regulations for all countries. Additionally, you assist in EMEA global transformation to consolidate payroll for centralized function aligned with strategic goals

Responsibilities

  • Developing and documenting processes, controls, and governance to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of EMEA payments and funding
  • Providing a secure, accurate, and compliant payroll service for RELX’s globally mobile employee population.
  • Assisting the Head of EMEA Payroll in implementing the global payroll strategy for the Region. Developing and leading a high performing regional payroll team.
  • Developing a best-in-class employee experience for delivery of pay and reward as well as building stakeholder connections throughout RELX.
  • Managing risks and developing robust systems of planning and delivering mitigations
  • Monitoring and evaluating payroll vendors through close collaboration with key vendor partners.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring systems and services provided are best-in-class and industry-leading.

Requirements

  • Possess significant UK and EMEA payroll and systems implementation knowledge
  • Show demonstrated knowledge and deployment of leading payroll solutions
  • Have an education background and/or experience in Business, Finance/Accounting, or a relevant field.
  • Have a deep experience of regional payroll operations and compliance requirements and practices
  • Be able to manage a diverse team with varied backgrounds and expertise levels.
  • Show the capability to maneuver difficult situations quickly and effectively.
  • Show excellent interpersonal skills and experience of building personal networks
  • Possess experience implementing country and regional payroll and operational transformations
