Job description: MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a reputable and dynamic charity based in Belfast, committed to making a positive impact in the community. This organisation are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team on a part-time basis as their IT Manager. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute your IT expertise towards supporting a great cause.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues to minimise downtime and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and implement best practices for data security.
- Plan and execute IT system upgrades to keep technology resources up-to-date.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to optimise system performance.
- Provide user support for IT-related issues and inquiries.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance staff and volunteer IT literacy.
- Liaise with IT vendors to procure hardware, software, and services.
- Manage relationships with external IT service providers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data protection.
- Familiarity with a variety of software, hardware, and network systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position, requiring up to 28 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible to accommodate the candidate’s availability.
