Job Description
Job Purpose:To perform cleaning duties throughout the Long Sutton site as requested by your Supervisor to ensure safety and meeting BRC requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- To maintain a high level of cleanliness predominately through a dry cleaning regime.
- To assist the Quality Manager in maintaining BRC standards in line with the Company’s Quality Policy.
- To ensure Food Safety following the company’s Quality Manual.
- Periodic sampling of equipment for allergenic or microbiological analysis.
- To follow PPE requirements in line with the company’s health and safety policies.
- To follow an Environmental Management System in line with the company’s Environmental Policy.
- Record/logging of cleaning activities.
- To become an important member of the HACCP team and attend BRC Food Safety meetings.
- To ensure any spillages are dealt with promptly.
- To use only approved cleaning materials in accordance with manufacturers instructions and COSHH regulations.
- Health & Safety
- To always follow site safety rules and comply with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
- Ensure all accidents are near miss incidents are reported to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Ensure work that is considered to present a serious or imminent risk of injury to employees or others is stopped immediately.
- Where new tasks are identified, ensure work does not commence until the task has been risk assessed and a safe system of work implemented which should be documented.
- Any other reasonable duties requested by Line Manager.
Capabilities and Experience:
- Responsible, reliable and hard working
- Must follow instruction and work independently, plus with others.
- Good communication skills.
- Sense of pride in delivering a high level of service and attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to working hours, particularly in peak periods.
Environmental ISO14001
- To undertake daily tasks in line with requirements of the Company’s Environmental Management System (EMS)
- Seek and provide ideas to improve company performance in accordance with the EMS.
