Job description: This role is a newly created position which sits as the conduit between IT and Finance. This role is key to the functioning of the organisation as it will be working on their ERP system (Infor – System 21).

The key responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst (Finance) will be:

  • Represent the IT and Business systems team within the Finance and Accounting teams to review current practices, and make recommendations to use existing systems and controls to improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with Business Systems Analyst and the Business Process Manager to understand the company process and procedures, to focus on bringing process and best practice efficiencies to everyday tasks
  • Assist in directing Business Systems strategy, by recommending new initiatives that leverage existing investments first, and suggesting alternative approaches where appropriate
  • Provide Technical support for current Infor System 21 and related ancillary systems
  • Identify new business system requirements and build business cases for inclusion into the IT and Business Systems strategic plan
  • Coordinate and plan Systems implementations in line with approved IT and Business Systems strategic plan.

The successful Business Systems Analyst (Finance) will have:

  • Knowledge and experience of common finance and account processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of ERP System, Infor System 21 software.
  • Experience with data analysis and automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of using the standard Microsoft Stack, including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills, written and telephone.
  • Quick to grasp new ideas and concepts
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible working attitudes
  • Aptitude for working under pressure in a structured, efficient manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail

On offer for the successful Business Systems Analyst (Finance) is a salary of circa £55,000 depending on experience along with an extensive benefits package which will be disclosed upon application.

Expected salary: £50000 per year
