We would welcome applications for two Community Enforcement Ranger roles, one permanent and one temporary post, both based within the Housing and Enforcement Department.

Contract Type: 1 x permanent full-time post and 1 x temporary full-time post. The temporary contract will be in place for at least 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, forward-looking team. The temporary post is intended to focus on issues of Anti-Social Behaviour in an identified hot spot area within Bolsover District. This post will be expected to carry out lone working as well as working alongside the existing team of Rangers and partner agencies such as the police.

The permanent post will cover the whole Bolsover District Council area and will be a first responder to complaints of Anti Social Behaviour and nuisance reported to the Council and to take the relevant enforcement action as necessary.

To be successful you will need:

  • An awareness of community matters in order to get to know local people and understand their concerns and to act as role models and ambassadors for the District
  • The ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and a commitment to service improvements
  • The ability to work out of hours/weekends/evenings on a shift rota basis
  • The successful candidate will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate
