The Department: Our client’s Aviation Finance team stands out as a pre-eminent global specialist aerospace practice, with over three decades of legal expertise in the sector. Recognised by prestigious legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500, this team is among the largest and most dedicated in the industry. Handling a spectrum of dispute resolution, regulatory, and transactional work, the team advises leading aviation financiers, lessors, airlines, and other industry stakeholders. Recent highlights include advising on sale and operating leaseback transactions, acquisition and financing of corporate aircraft, and handling the sale and purchase of used business aircraft.

The Role: As an Aviation Finance Associate, you will be an integral part of the London-based Aviation Finance team, working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-growing and energetic environment. Your responsibilities will focus on high-profile international aviation finance, sale and purchase, and leasing transactions. The team, comprised of Partners, Senior Associates, Associates, and Trainees, provides a supportive and collaborative setting where you can thrive.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • At least 3-4 years post-qualification experience in relevant, high-quality aviation finance or asset finance within a strong commercial practice.
  • Strong experience in aviation finance and leasing.
  • Familiarity with common aviation financing structures, aircraft sale and purchase, and leasing considerations.
  • Willingness to play an active role in practice and business development.
