Contract: Locum & ongoing contract
Hours: Full time. Part time considered.
Pay Rate: £20 per hour (assignment rate)

Duties:
- Carry out all routine audiological procedures according to national, professional and local protocols
- Accurately record the outcome of any patient contact in the medical notes and electronically on the Audiology patient management system
- Devices, documentation of advice given, and any relevant information or observations relating to the patient or the test conditions
- Ensure preparation of clinic rooms and equipment prior to and after clinic sessions, including calibration checks
- Ensure careful use of all equipment, and identification of faults in line with local procedures
- Provide a quality audiological assessment of patients who present with hearing difficulties
- Plan and carry out a range of routine audiological tests in accordance with national professional standards and procedures, and local protocols
- Provide a comprehensive hearing aid service to adults in acute, community and domiciliary settings in accordance with the most recent national best practice guidance and protocols (e.g. NICE, MHAS)
Requirements of the Audiologist/RHAD:
- RCCP Registered or HCPC as a Hearing Aid Dispenser would be advantageous
- Experience as a Trainee Audiologist or experience within clinical placement as part of BSc
- BSc in Clinical Audiology from an accredited University or equivalent or BTEC in MPPM, BAAT Parts I & II or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Good IT skills, with knowledge of hearing aid patient management systems
- Knowledge of National protocols for Audiological test procedures
- Ability to prioritise, innovate and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to accommodate change
- Excellent time management skills
