To make this happen, we are seeking individuals who are passionate about modern IT practices and technologies, to take our products into service and then provide the quality of support that together with great design and development, will see our systems used and loved by our customers. You will play a pivotal role in defining the software solution for our clients/product stakeholders by analysis of the relevant business models and requirements, processes, work-streams and flows of data – capturing and agreeing the requirements for translation into specifications for incremental delivery.

What are the key objectives?

  • Engage with company and client representatives, collaborating at multiple levels throughout the delivery life cycle for:

– Requirements/Criteria Elicitation and Analysis
– Solution Shaping/Design and Analysis for innovative solutions to complex problems
– Delivery Change Control and Prioritization * Capture, analyse, and document detailed requirements/criteria to enable product development using a variety of techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards

  • Perform root cause analysis on problem areas to identify the way forward working with the team at various stages to get wider input
  • Refine narrative details with use cases/behaviour scenarios, information flows, rules, and data elements into highly specified project briefs
  • Undertake activities in accordance with Company policy, procedures, and practice, paying attention to safety and security requirements/instructions, considering both the Company position as well as the client when devising a solution which is fit for purpose

Technical Experience

  • Skilled at analysis of business/commercial needs. Translation of customer capabilities/requirements into technical criteria (functional and non-functional)
  • Experienced at information gathering and preparing specifications (descriptive and illustrative) for solution delivery to satisfy customer needs / requirements
  • Adept in analysis methods/techniques and applying the “right tool for the job” which may include process, workflow, cause/effect, interface (user, system, messaging), and data definition/illustration
  • Skilled in work management of analysis activities and deliverables with traceability and change control
  • Familiar with work item / criteria management and collaboration tools (Resonate toolset includes Azure DevOps, Confluence, and MS Teams)

Professional Qualifications

  • Familiar with applying analysis skills within Agile and Structured software development environments
  • Experience in rail, logistics or any other regulated industry would be beneficial

This role could be based in Derby, Milton Keynes, or London. We have a flexible, hybrid approach to work and work location – so please talk to us about your preferences and how these could work for both you and the team. We do require everyone to be in one of our offices at least once a week. We provide this flexibility to enable you to work most effectively.
