As a programmer within a small team you will have an integral role in crafting new products from start to finish, including concepting and overall architecture. You will need to:

  • Be well-suited to take on the challenges of web-based innovation
  • Have a strong foundational understanding of programming concepts and paradigms
  • Be a quick learner, capable of swiftly picking up new programming languages and technologies as required for a project
  • Love diving into the unknown and experimenting with unfamiliar tools.
  • Be a self-starter who can take the initiative to identify and tackle problems without constant supervision, with a willingness to take calculated risks, experiment, and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
  • Have a natural curiosity and a passion for finding novel solutions to technical challenges, always being willing to think “outside the box” and explore unconventional ideas.
  • Demonstrate a proactive resourcefulness, seeking out and leveraging available resources, whether it’s documentation, online communities, or mentorship, to overcome obstacles.

Technical skills and Experience:

Essentials

  • Extremely proficient in JavaScript, particularly Vue.js (or React) and Node.js.
  • Knowledge of back-end technologies such as RDS (MySQL, MariaDB), DynamoDB, AWS Lambda, REST APIs, SharePoint and Web Sockets is preferred
  • Speed and agility; ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, developing innovation projects within tight deadlines

Desirables

  • Experience with any technologies that would help us to integrate with other Deloitte services, such as DoL, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Deloitte SSO, would be a big plus.
  • Experience working with teams in a professional services or large matrixed organization
  • Proficiency with project management skills and methodologies
  • Professional client service manner and ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to manage own time and take initiative

Personal independence

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints.
