£30-52K Based on Experience + Incentive Package + Company Car/ Allowance + Contribution Pension
Our client is a well invested manufacturer of Food Packaging with accreditation to BRC/ IoP Global Standards. Supplying to a diverse range of Food market sectors in the UK; Bakery, Confectionery, Convenience, Meat & Seafood, Fresh Produce and also some Medical products.
Their excellent on-site facilities (including state of the art manufacturing unit, warehousing, and distribution centre) support all needs to ensure that they are providing the best solutions to customers.
They are currently looking for a Sales Manager to play an active role in the continued growth of the company. The successful candidate will be home based and responsible for approx. 50/50 split of management of accounts and new business generation.
Food packaging experience is preferred, full product training can be given; however, the successful candidate will have established contacts and known users within the food packaging sector and will be confident in approaching contacts to convert business. Our client is especially keen to learn from those involved in problem solving in related / associated packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to Sales Director.
- Identify strategic business opportunities to increase sales of the company products within your area.
- Promotion of the company facilities and services to new and existing clients through a pro-active approach.
- Manage client requirements and negotiate terms of business (with appropriate support from the Sales Director).
- Develop a portfolio of clients into key accounts.
- Provide input to projects as required and support the achievement of the necessary timescales and milestones.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with both customers and internal personnel.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrable track record of account management and business development.
- Skilled at interpreting customer requirements and communicating back to the in-house teams.
- Computer literate and comfortable working with Excel Spreadsheets, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- SAP experience would be a benefit.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Passionate and enthusiastic with commitment to shared goals and objectives.
- A self-starter who is versatile and flexible to new situations and able to work
- under pressure to high standards and expectations to meet tight deadlines.
Expected salary: £30000 – 52000 per year
