About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our close-knit team of experts in the UK to help deliver our client engagements as we scale our UK business.

If you excel in client facing roles, have a deep understanding of how modern software is built and delivered, and have a passion for all things Product then we’d love to hear from you.

Brief overview of the role’s responsibilities:

  • Working within a cross-functional Simple Machines project team, helping to deliver new data led solutions for our enterprise clients.
  • Providing product management expertise within the team, leading the work the Simple Machines engineering team do and providing advice to client stakeholders on how to build great products.
  • Take ownership of the full product lifecycle with our clients. Driving great discovery work, facilitating efficient build and release, and closing the lifecycle loop with data and feedback gathering.
  • Delivering a valuable product to our clients by helping them to realise and measure the benefit of the solutions the team are building.
  • Owning relationships with client stakeholders, helping to maintain and enhance Simple Machines’ reputation with that client and in the wider market.

Requirements

What we need from you

You will love and excel in this role if you:

  • Have a refined understanding of how modern software is built and delivered – technologies, methods and frameworks, common challenges etc.
  • Hands on experience as a Product Manager in an enterprise environment, with an array of methods and experience you can bring to activities across the product lifecycle.
  • Know how to effectively communicate information between people at all levels of the business, in written and verbal form, with the ability to influence stakeholders through good communication.
  • Personal interest in best practice and trends of the technology and data industries, with the ability to apply these to your day-to-day work and drive improving outcomes for the team.
  • A relationship builder by nature, and someone who can thrive in new teams and new situations.
  • A proactive person who knows what needs to be done to deliver, how to approach it, and how to influence others to move things forward.
  • An ambitious person who is excited about the prospect of joining a small team of experienced people and helping our Simple Machines UK team to grow.

Your prior experience

  • You would have gained experience working in either Technology Consulting or a Software product company.
  • You will have worked in a client facing role: as a consultant, front office role like sales engineer or product role for a B2B tech company, working with client teams.
  • Several years’ experience working on software projects, preferably in a more than one of analysis, delivery, product, test or even engineering roles.
