We are looking for an experienced consultant to join our growing digital consulting team. Our Digital Consulting service adopts a ground-up approach to help our clients harness the power of data and technology, build a digital culture and develop an end-to-end transformation roadmap. We also help our clients uncovering new cloud-based capabilities for a smoother and more rewarding adoption of cloud technology.

Responsibilities

Client delivery

  • Work directly with clients and act as a client’s trusted advisor to lead consulting projects to success.
  • Use consulting methodologies to collect data and insights, and turn these into practical recommendations and solutions for clients. Where possible, pull together existing UBDS capabilities to create digital solutions that can be scaled up across our client pool.
  • Have overall accountability for the delivery of one or more projects assigned.
  • Prepare underlying materials and design, lead or participate in client workshops and other client engagements.
  • Manage senior stakeholders, provide constructive challenge and robust advice to senior management including C-suite.
  • Drive technology-enabled transformation programmes and projects.

Business development

  • Develop a deep understanding of UBDS commercial priorities. You will be responsible and accountable for the success and growth of customer accounts.
  • Drive the development of new market offerings that meet clients’ needs in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Drive and/or support as needed the production of high-quality proposals aligned to our clients’ needs.

Management

  • Manage and lead team members to complete key pieces of client work.
  • Act as a mentor to junior team members outside of client engagements to develop UBDS-wide skills profile.
  • Take responsibility for aggregating professional knowledge from around the business and create business cases to be used in client engagements.
  • In parallel to client work, lead and support internal processes to optimise our digital advisory operations.

About You

  • 3+ years of prior Management Consulting experience preferably in a top-tier or boutique consulting firm with a combination of technical / operational and management / business development / strategy roles
  • Possess a digital mindset and an interest in innovation and Digital Strategy & Transformation
  • Be familiar with recognised Strategy frameworks and techniques
  • Have a track record of successful delivery within projects or programmes working alongside other parties
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to listen to understand the client situation and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently on potentially complex issues
  • Ability to use hypothesis-driven problem solving to develop an approach to solve strategic problems. Being able to see the “big picture” without losing attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly absorb information from interviews, data, reports and other information sources, in order to produce succinct analysis of a situation
  • Quantitative skills, such as the ability to build Excel models, perform analysis on research output, draw key insights from data or visualise data as compelling charts in PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in diverse teams in complex strategy/consulting engagements, delivering high-quality output in short timeframes
