Our business is a global leader in environmental and advisory solutions; we are actively seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst for our Global IT Business Systems Team. This position presents an excellent opportunity in an innovative global consultancy.

In this role, you will be central to managing essential business applications, including Finance (Deltek VantagePoint), HR Systems, Learning & Development, and health and safety systems. With your technical knowledge and customer-first mindset, you’ll offer top-tier support, enhancing user experience and system capabilities.

By working with diverse units, you’ll drive enhancement efforts, ensuring the software environment’s stability, efficiency, and regulatory adherence.

The role

Within a matrix-managed environment, you will have global responsibilities within a small team responsible for all aspects of Application Support for our critical business systems:

Application Support, Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Partner with Service Delivery and Business Systems teams to champion a programme of enhancement and standardisation for our critical global business applications
  • Play a pivotal role within the Global IT Team, providing global support to business users for critical systems

o Organise regular training sessions, enhancing team knowledge of current and upcoming tech trends
o Stay ahead of the technological curve, ensuring the team can harness modern tools effectively
o Foster a culture of mentorship, where seasoned team members guide and uplift their peers
o Engage in group workshops and brainstorming sessions, emphasising collaborative problem-solving
o Implement a structured feedback system post-training to refine and adapt content to our team’s evolving needs
o Identify individual strengths and growth areas among users, offering tailored support and training sessions that cater to each user’s unique needs

Technical Expertise and Process Optimisation:

  • Harness your technical abilities and in-depth business process understanding to emerge as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in core systems such as Risk Management, Finance and Project ERP, HR, and Training platforms
  • Utilise technical expertise in SQL databases, relational database reporting, and workflow tools like SharePoint to manage and optimise data and processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced utilisation of business systems, driving efficiency gains
