Role Purpose
The position of Operational Risk Manager will be responsible for all matters relating to safety, security and quality in the airport environment. This will be verified by monitoring of MORSE safety reports and internal audits, managing compliance against contractual and regulatory requirements along with the adequacy of procedures necessary for a safe and secure operation on the ground for all customer airlines and the training requirements of Menzies Aviation are met in full.
What you will be doing
- To clearly identify all legislative, regulatory, statutory and procedural requirements placed upon the operation and to ensure all requirements are complied with fully. Managing t the Safety, Security and Quality Assurance Programme applicable to ground operations.
- Monitoring of Ground Operations Ground Safety Reports submitted and the selective dissemination of feedback to Operational managers and team. To manage and provide oversight of the Safety & Compliance Team.
- Support operational managers to maintain and enhance a safe and secure culture within all departments and provide guidance and advice on Menzies Aviation Health, Safety and Security policies
- Carrying out such additional duties that may be assigned by the Station Manager. To provide recommendations for the future development of oversight within the ground operations environment.
- Actively participate in departmental shift/staff briefings and staff/management review meetings. Be able to mentor and coach operational staff and provide objective feedback as part of the internal audit process to ensure compliance against operational tasks

What we are looking for
- Must hold appropriate nationally recognised health & safety qualification e.g. IOSH level 2 qualification
- Have good planning and analytical skills
- Have strong communication skills, both written and spoken and be able to communicate at a senior level
- Have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Be able to be objective, Be able to represent both Menzies Aviation and Customer Airlines at a high level.
