Embedded Software Engineer – Medical Devices
Job Description
Job title: Embedded Software Engineer – Medical Devices
Company: Newton Colmore Consulting
Job description: A growing Medical Devices organisation, based in South Cambridge, are currently looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to help with the development of brand new, highly complex medical devices development.
Although you will be working on the development of medical devices, your past role as an Embedded Software Engineer does not need to have been within the medical devices sector. It will be useful if you have past healthcare embedded software experience, but it could also be from another highly complex area that would have used your software, physics and mathematics knowledge to problem solves.
This role would test the most talented of Embedded Software Engineers, so we are looking for people who have a track record of problem solving using C and other software languages.
Due to the type of projects you will work on, quite often you may be the only Embedded Software Engineer working on a problem, so having a strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals will be essential. This may be from your first years at university or maybe in your current role.
Due to the complex nature of the projects, your problem-solving ability will be of paramount importance. Due to this, we look for examples of your CV that your physics or mathematic problem solving is something you enjoy, often looking at your hobbies and interests for something that is quite challenging, so have a look at your CV before applying and make an amendment if you have not noted anything.
Apart from a keen interest and experience working as an Embedded Software Engineer, we will need you to hold a degree within a software, biomedical, engineering, physics, mathematics or another subject that would have resulted in you working on Embedded C Software Engineering.
You will be rewarded with an excellent salary and benefits package, along with career progression which you will see in operation in the company already as they like to promote from within whenever possible.
The technologies you will help develop are some of the most complex anyone will get to work on, so if this interests you I suggest making an application now.
