Role Purpose
The Baggage Tracing Agent assists Egypt Air customers with mishandled baggage and resolves issues with delayed, lost, or damaged items. The role provides secondary baggage tracing for EgyptAir using the World Tracer system. This is from day 6 till day 21 of the tracing process, processing baggage claims for all customers residing in the UK. Providing excellent customer service, the Baggage Tracing Agent communicates with EygptAir customers and arranges for the safe delivery of mishandled baggage.
The hours are currently part-time 5 hours each Friday with flexibility for vacation cover when the other agent is on leave.
What you will be doing
- Handle lost, found, and damaged baggage property matters.
- Provide acceptance of baggage irregularity reports, enter data into baggage tracing system (WorldTracer).
- Maintain baggage tracing system files for secondary tracing function from day 6 until day 21.
- Deliver the highest service levels to all our Egypt Air customers.
- Handle communications with Egypt Air customers, processing baggage claims for the Carriers customers residing in the UK.

What we are looking for
- Experience in an all-around airport handling operation with relevant experience in baggage.
- 1 – 2 years relevant experience in a similar role with a reputable airline or reputable ground handling company.
- World Tracer Training (Training will be provided and World Tracer as required).
- Services (BRS) Training.
- Good report writing skills.
