Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, as the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a vital part of the supply chain process within the NOV UK Spares organisation, by overseeing and coordinating the efficient running of warehouse operations. Working with ALL departments; to receipt, store, order pick and pack our products, while implementing and managing effective processes and systems ensuring productivity targets. You will utilise your specific inventory management experience to establish / monitor performance measurement systems. You will continually evaluate and improve your team’s structure and processes to improve performance and team effectiveness. Developing our business goals hand in hand with developing our people’s skills, with the support of the Warehouse Manager, you will be open to career progression and continued self-development in order to reach personal and business goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategically Manage all aspects of the Warehouse Operations in compliance with NOV’s policies, vision and overall objectives.
  • Ensure all NOV policies surrounding stock controls, HSE, Quality requirements and Housekeeping are met and improved upon as identified. Complies with UK and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Manage overall inventory control ensuring physical cycle counts are conducted and reconciled within the ERP / WMS, monitor inventory movements, and manage aged, obsolete and scrap inventory as per policy
  • Achieves financial objectives as set by the UK Spares division by working within a budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions and seeking cost efficiencies
  • Accountable for achieving and maintaining all relevant Targets and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement
  • Maintain accurate and timely transactions.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various NOV depts ensuring appropriate levels / quality of services are provided
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts meet the most efficient and effective space / flow utilisation; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • HND (or equivalent) qualified in related subject or industry experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Supervisory experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of a Warehouse operational environment (essential)
  • Proven inventory management experience

SKILLS, TRAINING OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE

  • B1 & B2 Forklift license (essential)
  • VNA man-up license (desirable)
  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Adobe Pro and Outlook) (essential)
  • Knowledge of COSHH datasheet and hazardous materials handling (awareness, working knowledge)
  • Good working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems
  • Excellent people management skills
