About the role

We are looking to appoint a full time Financial Accountant to support in the management of the Financial Accounts team, reporting directly to the Financial Accounts Manager.

You will be involved in the preparation of statutory financial accounts, act as focal point for all subsidiary accounts in UK and overseas, provide advice and support for all VAT and tax matters across the Group, and build relationships with internal and external auditors and other stakeholders. You will also be involved in Treasury Management for the University.

What you can bring 

We are looking for applicants who are Qualified Accountants, or at the final level of their professional studies, with strong technical and financial accounting skills. You should be able to clearly articulate complex financial issues to people outside of finance and have well developed influencing skills and the ability to persuade others.

You should have experience operating in a finance team in a large and complex organisation.
