Brook Street UK Ltd are looking for a Warehouse Operator is responsible for various tasks related to the efficient and organised operation of a warehouse. The specific duties can vary depending on the type of warehouse and industry, but here are some common responsibilities associated with a Warehouse Operator job:

Inventory Management:

  • Receiving, unpacking, and inspecting incoming goods.
  • Recording and documenting received items.
  • Organising and maintaining inventory within the warehouse.

Order Picking and Packing:

  • Selecting items from the inventory based on order requirements.
  • Packing items securely for shipping.
  • Creating shipping labels and preparing packages for dispatch.

Quality Control:

  • Inspecting products for defects or damages.
  • Ensuring that products meet quality standards before shipping.

Operate Warehouse Equipment:

  • Using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and transport goods.
  • Safely operating machinery and following proper procedures.

Data Entry:

  • Entering data into computer systems to update inventory records.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the warehouse management system.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety:

  • Keeping the warehouse clean and organised.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Communication:

  • Communicating with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and sometimes with vendors or customers.

Problem Solving:

  • Addressing issues related to inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or other challenges that may arise in the warehouse.

To be successful in a Warehouse Operator role, candidates should typically have good physical stamina, attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Hours are 8am-5pm.
