Job Title: IT Senior Business Applications Analyst
Salary: £52,500 – £60,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location : Peterborough – 3 days / home office 2 days

Job Summary
The successful candidate will join the Caterpillar IT team focusing on the Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) and be based in Peterborough.
The role is to assist Industrial Power Systems Division by acting as Technical Business Analyst in the design and development of business systems primarily in a high-volume manufacturing space. Specific focus will be on developing detailed understating of the global manufacturing processes, building successful partnerships to define and improve the execution of IT systems across the manufacturing business capabilities.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Information Technology around problem solving, application design, requirements gathering, system integration, system testing and technical troubleshooting
What You Will Do
Requirements Analysis – Play an active or leading role in gathering business requirements, including prototyping and use cases.
System & Technology Integration – Design \ Develop application or technology interfaces across multiple platforms, to allow communication between applications, databases, and technology platforms.
System Testing – Support system and software testing and when required design, plan and execute system testing to ensure a quality product all at stages of the system life cycle.
Application Subject Matter Expert – Knowledge of major production applications, explain features and benefits to internal clients and plan enhancements and upgrades.
Play an active or leading role for Manufacturing applications to ensure compliance regarding technology and security.
What You Have:
Extensive experience within IT Applications, demonstrating working knowledge of one or more of the following: Experience of some of the following: Oracle Weblogic, Oracle ADF & Forms, PL\SQL Oracle Packages, Linux RHEL,
Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
What you may have:
Experience of high-volume manufacturing environments.
Experience working with onshore/offshore team model.
Demonstrated ability of creating and growing excellent Business Relationships
Familiar with project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
Demonstrated excellent planning and organizational skills.
Familiar with IT Service Management (ITSM)
