As a senior member of the Programmes & Projects team the Senior IT Business Analyst will support senior stakeholders across diverse business functions and in a shared services environment. You will investigate and support business systems and deliver change initiatives aimed at improving systems processes, reducing costs or enhancing sustainability/capability and the quantification of business benefit.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

Responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.

Applies and monitors the use of modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives.

Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and disciplines, in the conduct of investigations for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.

Prepares business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks and acts as an ambassador of the Enterprise Platform & Services team internally and externally.

Seek and define opportunities to actively contribute towards the achievement of Enterprise Platform & Services goals outside of prescribed remit.

Accountability for managing project deliverables in line with defined project lifecycle policy, process and procedure, e.g. management of actions, risks and issues

Identifies the impact on business requirements of external impacts affecting a programme or project

Facilitates scoping and business priority setting for large or complex changes, engaging senior stakeholders as required

Creates stakeholder engagement plans in the process of conducting analysis activity: e.g. managing problems and issues, managing resolutions and corrective actions, collection and dissemination of relevant information

Take initiatives which help exceed stakeholders’ expectations of the Enterprise Platform & Services function

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

Knowledge of and accountability to have delivered Business Analysis elements within the Project Lifecycle.

Discovery and definition activities and subsequent creation of documentation including process and data flow, entity relationship diagrams, user-centred design, e.g. use cases and customer Journeys, discovery/implementation workshops.

Delivery of high-quality outputs to time in high pressured environments.

Experience of working with corporate functions within a global organisation.

Experienced in and have an interest in continuous process improvement and optimisation.

Good organisational and project management skills to ensure delivery to specified timelines

Proven ability to be a self-starter, with demonstrable initiative and drive and ability to work as part of a team

High standard of written and presentation skills and high proficiency in Project, Word, Excel PowerPoint, and O365

Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business Needs.

Commercially focussed – able to recognise, utilise and create opportunities based on a strong grasp of financial expenditure principles

Experience of working with vendors, offshore partners system integrators, and other third parties/partners.
