Job description: Role Overview:
Based at the BAE’s Isle of Wight facility in Cowes (postcode is PO31 8PF) the role involves supporting the warehouse management and complete the required tasks to ensure the efficient running of the Stores facility
*Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work suitable candidates will be SC clearable or eligible for this level of clearance**
Core Duties:
- General warehousing stock checking
- Picking & packing
- kitting, stock checking
- Keen to learn new skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Skills/Experience required:
- Role is based on site 5 days a week so applicants MUST be able to get to Cowes, IOW for Monday – Friday
- MUST have previous Stores experience, ideally within the defence, Armed Forces or MoD industries
- attention to detail, methodical workers
- any prior forklift driving experience would be beneficial
- Competent in the use of multiple IT systems
- Problem Solving (Breadth of mental skills required in order to perform the position)
- Good communication skills
- Able to remain calm and collective whiling dealing with problems
- Willingness to question and challenge appropriately in order to initiate change
