We are a small, dedicated team providing helicopter travel services in the UK and near continent to The Royal Household. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring safe helicopter operations at a variety of non-aviation locations. Within this role there will be significant amounts of travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting detailed landing site surveys.
  • Managing landing sites both during the day and night, ensuring safe operations.
  • Liaising with external agencies, including venue hosts, local authorities, and police forces.
  • Conducting aviation radiotelephony procedures and marshalling helicopters.
  • Providing on-site support, including cleaning, guarding, and replenishing aircraft.
  • Conducting refuelling operations including pre-departure fuel quality checks, assessing site suitability and dispensing aviation fuel.

About you 1

With previous aviation experience, you’ll be able to make operational decisions within established policies and standard operating procedures and comfortable resolving complex matters by collaborating with senior stakeholders.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent spatial awareness and map reading ability.
  • Knowledge and experience of standard aircraft marshalling signals.
  • Practical knowledge of helicopter operating procedures.
  • Understanding of aviation risks, hazards, and air safety.
  • Proficiency in aviation weather factors, TAF and METAR formats.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Initiative, problem-solving skills, and proactive thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capable of working as part of a team and lone working.
  • Full UK Driving License and the ability to travel to a number of different locations within UK and near continent.
