Job description: A Food Services Manager is required to work within the NHS on a temp to perm basis, overseeing the catering facilities within a hospital, taking responsibility for the overall management and monitoring of organisational food safety and delivery across the Trust.
You will be responsible for both in house and outsourced staff with all foods being prepared and cooked on site. The postholder shall lead regular collaborative menu reviews to ensure that the catering services at all sites meet the changing needs of service users, dietetic requirements and NHS and other similar standards, whilst maintaining effective budget management and stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for all aspects of the catering services delivered to staff and service users across the Trust with support from the Facilities Manager (North).
-Ensure the most effective use of resources within the in-house services, considering competing priorities and agreed performance targets.
-Project manage various initiatives pertaining to the delivery of the catering services across the Trust.
Qualifications:
-NVQ level 4 Management qualification or equivalent experience
-Advanced (L4) Certificate in Food Hygiene and HACCP principles
-City and Guilds 706/2 or NVQ level 3 Catering
-IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
