Job description: Recra is working in partnership with a great recycling company based in Leicester who are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
To be considered for this role:
- Engineering qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Mechanical, Electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic qualifications.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Maintenance Engineer or position of similar responsibility in a similar environment.
- Proven track record of working to clearly defined KPIs.
- Proven track record of delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment.
- Implementation of new processes and developments.
- Structured diagnostics & problem solving.
- Experience in temporary repairs to reach the next allocated maintenance window.
Job Details:
- PAY £45,000 Per Year
- SHIFT 4 on 4 off – Days only
- HOURS 06:00 to 18:00

- Provide high operational availability and an efficient breakdown repair service. Diagnosis running faults and ensuring effective repairs and improvements are conducted within a minimum time scale.
- Carry out installation work to the required standards.
- Ensure productivity and availability exceed minimum defined standards, whilst driving best practice and continuous improvement in cost control and operations.
- Develop and implement a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime, provide records of recurrent faulting, and develop engineered solutions to these issues.
- Carry out minor maintenance operations to plant and equipment.
- To liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work.
- Keep abreast of changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and Company policies to ensure defined standards and best practices are implemented. • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Review maintenance activities, implementing necessary corrective actions as required.
- To carry out any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the Company may require.
