Job description
A leading insurance business are looking to appoint an Underwriting Manager who will be responsible for driving profitable growth and setting strategic direction of the London mid-corporate team.
Skill & Experience:
- Underwriting leadership along with experience of underwriting roles and portfolio management
- Experience of coaching and mentoring staff along with managing complex non-standard underwriting arrangements
- The ability to analyse data trends to identify growth opportunities and inform future underwriting strategy
- Excellent understanding of the insurance industry with a broad knowledge of external
- regulators along with knowledge of insurance regulation, agency and compliance
- Knowledge of the local market and interaction with brokers and customers on large complex risks with the ability to develop strategic contacts & relationships in a complex environment
