Job Description

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for the daily management of the food & beverage outlets, ensuring that the highest standards of food & beverage service is provided to the guests.

The Food & Beverage Manager plans, organizes and directs the overall F&B operation, administration, marketing and promotion of the outlet, and is responsible and accountable for its profitability and revenue generation.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Performance

Responsible for the daily operation of the restaurant, bar and meeting rooms

Manage food and beverage costs, upholding menu standards and controlling inventory

Carry out Duty Management shifts according to business needs

Plan for outlet budget and review forecast on revenue and expenditure on monthly basis

Analyze and submit month-end reports and identify deviation from business plan goals

Participate in management meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals and develop the annual business plan related for the outlet

Plan, implement and measure profit enhancement programs by working with the kitchen & sales department. Prepare & submit post-mortem promotion report to General Manager upon completion of promotion

Implement and maintain control measures to ensure that food & beverage costs, productivity, labour costs and operating supply costs for the outlet is in line with budget

Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for restaurant, bar room service and conference areas.

Ensure constant liaison with the Head Chef, Conference & Events Manager and Conference Coordinator.

Qualifications

Profile

Knowledge and Experience

Diploma in Hospitality Management/Food & Beverage preferred

Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage

Experienced in all aspects of banquet service, especially in local function styles

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity with proven records in delivering banquet operating results

Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language

Ability to speak other languages will be an advantage

Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Social Media

High degree of professionalism with sound human resources management and business acumen capabilities
