Job description: The Recruitment Co is currently recruiting for several Cleaning & Catering Operatives to work within a busy hospital in Scarborough to start ASAP.
Initially for around a 3 month period – likely to extend.
You must pass a Standard DBS Check.
Hours:
5 days out of 7
Shift Patterns available are – 07:00 – 15:00, 12:00 – 20:00, 22:00 – 06:00
Pay Rate:
Between £10.42ph to £19.07ph depending on which shift you are on
Duties:
The main responsibilities of the role are maintaining levels of cleanliness throughout a designated area and providing catering service on the wards.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that the ward/area you are assigned to is cleaned in accordance with the work schedule for that area. This will include lifting items and operating cleaning machinery, some of which is industrial standard
- Undertaking specialist cleaning as required under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor and/or Nurse in Charge and/or Infection Prevention Dept
- Assisting with the distribution of meals to wards
- Plating up of meals, ensuring the dietary requirements of patients are met
- Making and distributing hot drinks and cleaning and refilling water jugs
