Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst Apprentice with Colloids Limited, a global masterbatch manufacturer and inventor of high-performance black and colour masterbatch solutions based in Liverpool.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, the individual takes and understands the needs/problems from stakeholders and works to provide a solution to how these can be met through business change and digital solutions.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Analyse the requirements to identify any technical or resource dependencies.
  • Provide feedback on the feasibility of the requirements, including the scope and timeline.
  • Verify the validity of the requirements with subject matter experts, business owners, or other stakeholders to ensure that they meet the business needs and objectives.
  • Become a successful change professional who helps organisations to deliver business and digital change successfully.
  • Regularly investigate and analyse solutions to ensure the optimum one is chosen.
  • Expand on logical and creative thinking skills to help solve business change challenges.
  • Utilise structured approaches to identify, investigate, analyse and communicate complex business problems and opportunities.
  • Analyse practical business cases to further understand different business scenarios.
  • Learn how to lead the analysis, identification, design, prioritisation and implementation of processes and business changes to improve operations and services.
  • Provide advice and guidance based on your own knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

A-Levels in Information technology or Business desirable but not essential

Skills Required:

  • Understanding of agile methodology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Problem analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborative mindset, openness to feedback and willingness to help others.
  • Proactive, able to own projects and work autonomously when required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and support team members in their ability to do so.
  • Maintains accurate records, using relevant systems and business processes.
  • Gathers relevant information before making a decision.

The position will suit an analytical, detail-oriented candidate who is able to plan ahead, manage their time efficiently, has a results and service driven mind-set, supported by good organisation and clear thinking. The individual should also show initiative, drive, commitment and enthusiasm to succeed, with a willingness to go the extra mile.

Future prospects:

The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

Training to be provided:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Business Analyst, with training in how to:

  • Investigate the wants, needs, problems and opportunities for your business.
  • Analyse performance of your processes and suggest recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify your data requirements to improve your business.
  • Create data models to illustrate how your data is represented within your business systems.
  • Asses costs, benefits and impacts of suggested changes to your business.
