About our Team:
As a Software Engineering Manager you will be managing and liaising with dynamic , passionate cross functional teams, where collaboration as a team is key.
About the Role
As the Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead a team of skilled software developers to design, develop, implement and maintain various software applications.
You’ll Be Responsible for:
- Working closely with the teams, product owner, and engineering director to analyze, propose and manage the delivery of new capabilities and improve upon existing capabilities
- Managing your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, and giving appropriate feedback
- Monitoring and reporting on technical progress against plans
- Acting as an acknowledged go-to person on coding and technical issues
- Driving and implementing process improvements
- Monitoring and reporting on technical progress against plans
Qualifications:
· Have experience in a software engineering role as part of a product or platform delivery team
· Have substantial Software Engineering experience
· Have experience in staff resourcing and management, including partnering and offshoring resourcing models
· Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to think analytically
· Have experience of managing of Software Engineering Teams.
· Be a natural problem-solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues
· Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience
· Have great experience in code reviews and development approaches
· Be very proficient in database technology, design and manipulation, optimization, and best practice
