The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the developing Health and Education team at CU Scarborough and play a key part in the development and delivery of the Applied Psychology degree. We are seeking an individual with experience working in the field of psychology, with knowledge of the BPS, and a clear focus on the application of psychology in contemporary society. The ideal candidate will also have experience in delivering excellence within higher education and evidence of ensuring inclusivity within the sector.
The Applied Psychology degree is undergoing exciting and innovative development. This is an exciting time to join the team as you will be involved in the continual development of this programme, developing the delivery and accreditation of the course.
Qualifications Required
PhD (or equivalent), or good Honours Degree and/or Master’s Degree if from Professional practice background with appropriate professional qualifications and/or membership that might be considered as equivalent to a PhD.

You will have the ability to demonstrate best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment along with high standards in engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
A strong communicator with excellent digital skills, you will have experience using Aula or other forms of communication to deliver student communications, assurance of timely and accurate information, and high-standard teaching material. Experience facilitating excellent academic working relationships to foster student academic cohesion and a sense of academic community and belonging is required.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience supporting, enhancing, and engaging in an ‘active learning’ pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting student success.
As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learner’s cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
Innovation and collaboration are key to our success, therefore the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
