Here at DB Cargo UK we are currently recruiting for an IT Business Analyst to join our IS Applications and Digitalisation department based at our Headquarters at Doncaster Lakeside.

The IT Business Analyst will bring a unique blend of business acumen, digital expertise, analytical skills, and a user-centric approach that are invaluable for driving successful IT transformation programs. Their involvement will ensure that the transformation not only meets technical requirements but also aligns with broader business objectives, ultimately leading to enhanced competitiveness and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

Here is a list of day-to-day responsibilities the successful candidate will action:

Manage business requirements through all their lifecycle aligning business requirements with the IT transformation goals using agile methodologies: structure complex requirements and break them down, manage backlog.

Analyse existing business processes and identify areas for improvement. Process automation and optimisation.

Informed decision-making during the transformation journey by using data-driven insights and focus on end-user experience.

Effective stakeholder management and communication including IT teams, management and end-users.

Change management: Implementing IT transformations through significant organizational changes, preparing stakeholders for the changes, facilitating smoother transitions, training, handover to support teams.

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of the IT transformation.

Working to and managing multiple workstreams including internal development team and external suppliers.

Requirements elicitation and documentation.

Working with developers to estimate and build solutions.

Support development, testers and business users throughout project life cycle – i.e. handover, answer questions, supervise what is delivered, defect management, implementation and training activities as required.

Testing the solution before delivering to end-users to ensure the solution delivered meets the required criteria.

Market research and business case development.

Have a strong IT based background looking at business analytics from an IT perspective.

Excellent Stakeholder Management.

Data driven and analytical way of working.

Able to work within Agile Methodology, Scum or MoSCoW analysis.

Experience working with internal and external development teams.

Able to process map within Microsoft Visio.

Able to work towards business targets.

What matters to you?

This position offers a 37-hour week with the option for hybrid working between our Headquarters in Doncaster and the successful candidates home residence. During the first 3 months, there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to be in the office on a more regular basis. All hybrid working will be agreed with the successful candidate and the hiring manager.
