At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft. We have an new exciting and career defining opportunity for a Site Health & Safety Administrator to join the team. Your role will be predominantly supporting the site by conducting H&S assessments, noting health and safety concerns, taking noise readings and compiling reports.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Support the HSE Lead and HSE Advisor
  • Implement GKN Aerospace HSE policies and procedures throughout the site
  • Facilitate required HSE documentation including risk assessments
  • Report and manage all incidents on HSE data collection system
  • Provide reports as required on site HSE performance
  • Ensure employees are trained and competent in relation to HSE
  • Ensure statutory compliance of the site
  • Support HSE site certifications as required

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

⦁ Awareness of Health, Safety and Environment
⦁ Knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation (e.g. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974)
⦁ Good communication and people skills
⦁ Proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Desirable:

⦁ Understanding of industry, national and local HSE requirements
⦁ Experience within Health, Safety and Environmental
⦁ IOSH Managing Safely
⦁ Presentation skills
⦁ Ability to analyse data

For this role we are especially interested in speaking to candidates that hold NEBOSH Certification this is not an essential requirement but is highly desirable.
