REPORTING TO: Restaurant Manager

HOURS: Shift patterns available range from breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekends.

JOB LOCATION: The Old Inn, 15-25 Main St, Crawfordsburn, Bangor BT19 1JH

SALARY: £11.42-£12.92 per hour pay scale

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic new team members to work in our bar/restaurant and banqueting suites!

Job Description:

Main duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming all our hotel guests and visitors in a friendly, polite manner.
  • With training, have full and complete knowledge of all food/beverage and wine menus enabling you to help with any guest queries.
  • Present menus, take orders, and serve food and beverage professionally and efficiently ensuring our guests have everything they need.
  • Cleaning and resetting tables and keeping all areas of the restaurant neat and tidy.
  • Using the bar/restaurant till systems to place orders and process customer payments correctly.
  • Carrying out daily duties as required by the restaurant management team.
  • Directing any guest complaints to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Ensuring that your knowledge of the Resort and facilities is up to date in order to upsell to guests if the opportunity arises.
  • Making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Resort standards at all times.
  • Observe all Company and Statutory Fire, Health, Safety, and Hygiene Regulations.
  • Attend any training that has been set up to aid your personal development.

The Person:

Applicant must:

  • Have at least 1-year of previous waiting experience.
  • Have a passion for the hospitality industry, great food, and great service.
  • Be an excellent team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Have a flexible approach to working shift patterns and be available to work morning, daytimes, evenings, and weekends.
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to multi-task.
  • Have a sense of pride in the delivery of high standards of presentation and the Galgorm Collection brand.

Desirable:

  • Barista trained
