College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Health in Social Science, Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research and Policy (Nursing Studies)

Part-time; 17.5 hours per week (0.5FTE)

Fixed term; until September 2026

We are looking for a researcher with experience in community engagement, co-production and related research to join the GroundsWell Consortium. The researcher will need to be able to work independently with a range of partners across Liverpool, Belfast and Edinburgh.

The Opportunity:

You will have the opportunity to be part of a large UK wide consortium (GroundsWell) evaluating the health and social benefits of urban blue and green spaces. In Edinburgh, you will also be part of the Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research and policy (SCPHRP), and work alongside researchers in OPENspace.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • community engagement with a range of partners
  • working with communities to design and carry out research
  • experience of obtaining research grants to empower communities to develop and evaluate projects
  • previous research in urban green and blue space, or public health
  • team work and communication skills
