Exciting Opportunity for Planning Engineers

Our esteemed client, a globally renowned project and cost management consultancy based in Warrington, is actively seeking experienced Planning Engineers to contribute to a high-profile Pharma Programme currently underway in the Northwest. The role extends to future collaboration on complex defence infrastructure, transportation, nuclear, energy, and utilities projects.

Type: 39hrs, Hybrid Working – Permanent Position

Your Role:

  • Create, maintain, and review a program of work
  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion
  • Liaise with various project departments, including design and construction
  • Produce progress reports and forecasts for team members, clients, and stakeholders
  • Break down large projects into phases of development
  • Utilise project management tools to plan timeframes
  • Collaborate with estimators to calculate project resources
  • Plan contingency programs in case of timeframe changes
  • Conduct meetings with contractors and suppliers
  • Write bids for tenders

Your Qualifications:

  • Recognised diploma or degree or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in planning and scheduling
  • Understanding of Risk management, change management, earned value analysis, completion forecasting, and status reporting
  • Knowledge of program contractual requirements
  • Experience in utilities or medium to large infrastructure projects (rail, aviation, nuclear, water, and highways)
  • Flexible approach for office or site-based work
  • Effective client interface skills
  • Good report writing and presentation skills
  • Proficient in IT and professional planning tools such as Primavera P6
  • Excellent communication skills
