The role
If you are someone who loves the technical aspects of aircraft and aviation, a career in airfield operations as a supervisor can be a great match for your aptitude. You will be responsible in supporting the safety, compliance & security of the airfield. The airfield operations supervisors are the professionals who maintain the entire airfield area of East Midlands airport by strategically completing tasks that align with both regulatory and internal requirements as well as ensuring the safe take-off and landing of aircraft, you will perform robust routine inspections, and communicate with air traffic control as well as respond to incidents, accidents & emergencies in a safety critical and unique environment.
What will make you successful in the role?
Will have previous experience working in a high pressured fast paced environment
Previous experience in aerodrome operations is required
Excellent comprehension and composition skills
Critical thinking ability
Be able to handle complex situations in a time critical & unique environment
Situational awareness & impeccable communication skills
Ability to identify hazards and rectify promptly
Comply with Aerodrome Manual and audit third party handling against Airside Operational Instructions
A full UK driving licence is essential
Have the ability to obtain a firearms licence the application must be submitted within the first 4 weeks of employment
