Hours: Monday to Friday, 5am-1pm
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid counterbalance licence.
Duties:
- The appropriate storage of ingredients and finished products, with particular importance paid to correct stock rotation and batch coding.
- The maintenance of the appropriate records.
- Assisting Warehouse Manager (or his deputy) to assess adequate production runs to complete orders and/or build suitable stock to maintain appropriate levels.
- Ensuring smooth running of production for next shift(s) by providing them with any necessary ingredients from the freezer or store – eg cold flour/boxes – as instructed, with correct stock rotation and batch coding.
- As forklift driver, you will be responsible for the storage and charging of the equipment and reporting of faults, being particularly aware of Health & Safety requirements.
- Collating orders for customers and/or transporting to secondary cold store.
- Assisting in packaging of finished goods and quality control.
- Loading/unloading customers/carriers/supplier vehicles as required – following goods-in/goods-out procedures correctly.
- Stocktaking as required to maintain appropriate controls.
- Maintenance of storage areas with goods stored in a neat, logical and effective manner.
- To follow Company Health and Safety advice whilst at work and to report any concerns to your Shift Leader or to your H&S representative.
