ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a resilient and experienced FoodTech HLTA proficient in Key Stage 3-4 support. The learning provision is based in Blackburn.

The school is for students in Key Stages 3-4 who have SEMH Needs. It also offers places for children with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The Food Technology teacher role in Blackburn will start immediately and will be ongoing with no set end date. The desired Food Technology Teacher will be working with pupils, with a wide range of ability levels. This role would be suitable for those holding a QTS as well as those holding HLTA qualifications.

Depending on performance the school would look at offering a permanent position.

Hours – 8:30 am – 3.30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in a similar setting
HLTA or QTS status is mandatory
Team Teach Trained (preferable)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
