As the Director you are responsible for leading the development of partnership strategy projects for brand and rights holder clients across EMEA within sport, entertainment, and culture. Projects could include but are not limited to: development of data-driven partnership strategies, building broader brand marketing strategies, valuing partnership rights and developing fan growth and commercial strategies. All projects will be consultative in nature, requiring outstanding creativity, a comfort with analytics and data, business savviness and an ability to serve and guide clients with confidence, quality and subject matter expertise.
Key Responsibilities include;
- Lead on the development of partnership and commercial strategy projects.
- Support clients with the identification, analysis, and assessment of partnerships across the sports, entertainment and culture sectors.
- Work with insight teams to guide strategies that are acutely in line with our clients’ target audiences.
- Utilize Wasserman’s approach and methodology to sponsorship valuation in order to accurately advise clients on investment decision making.
- Lead partnership negotiations on behalf of clients.
- Play a key role in fostering client relationships, whilst delivering world-class service.
- Where relevant, manage relationships with client partners and ensure maximum return on investments.
- Build non-partnership marketing strategies for clients within sport, entertainment and culture.
- Work closely with other Directors and the department lead on consulting team resourcing and team development.
- Be part of new client pitches and play a role in responding to RFPs.
Requirements:
- Significant, direct and relevant experience in brand and partnership strategy. This is not an execution / delivery role.
- A passion for, and ability to tackle, varied and multiple projects in tandem – this is a key role within a project-based team.
- An aspiring leader within the sports and entertainment space.
- Some agency background is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of project management fundamentals.
- A skill for storytelling and strong ability to translate complex research into a simple and digestible narrative.
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and be able to create a rapport with people of all demographics.
- High level of initiative and works well independently and in a team environment.
- Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction, whilst being comfortable with taking direction from business leaders.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
