About the Role  

Do you have skills and expertise to help manufacturers with their digital transformation journey? We are looking for 2 x Engineers to join the team! 

In this role you will help SME manufacturing clients solve their most pressing problems using the latest digital tools and Industry 4.0 technologies. You will have the opportunity to work with external technology providers and experts within the University. 

Specifically, the role involves:  

  • Working with the team to understand client’s challenges, identify cutting-edge digital technologies as solutions, and present clear recommendations for implementation. You’ll be the go-to engineer for translating these solutions into clear, actionable recommendations for implementation and supporting technology transfer.
  • Developing proof-of-concept and demonstrable solutions for clients. This is where your engineering talent comes into play – turning ideas into prototypes that not only demonstrate feasibility but makes a huge impact.
  • Designing and building demonstrations that showcase the latest digital technologies to our clients. It’s not just about presenting solutions; it’s about engineering that leave clients excited and eager to embrace digital.
  • Leading digital transformation workshops, producing technical roadmaps that pave the way for success, writing impactful grant applications.
