About the role

You will be responsible for:

  • Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress
  • Planning work rota’s, staff holidays and overtime and verifying wages.
  • Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as necessary and Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order picking and dispatch of goods
  • Periodic checks on invoice accuracy in terms of rates, etc
  • Visiting customers / conference calls to monitor the quality of service they are receiving by way of monthly operational reviews and KPI reports.
  • Briefing Supervisors on the issues for that particular day

About you

  • Normally educated to degree level with several years experience as Supervisor / team leader in logistics management.
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives and the ability to plan and organise work schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators (KPI’ s)
  • Leadership skills, ability to manage staff and work in multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • IT skills – internet navigation, spreadsheets and databases. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
