Job Description

Working as a part of the Student Immigration Service you will join a friendly team of specialist administrators who play a key role in maintaining the University’s licence to sponsor international student visas to study in the UK.

This is an interesting and varied role, with both student facing and administrative duties. For example liaising with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), responding to a wide range of queries from various stakeholders and checking that immigration documents allow students to study.

As teamwork is an important part of the role, strong interpersonal skills are essential. You will:

  • be an experienced administrator with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • be able to demonstrate your experience of using and developing a range of systems and reporting tools to perform tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • be able to respond effectively to queries from a range of stakeholders. 

Ideally you will have experience of working in a Higher Education environment with some knowledge of immigration requirements for students.
