Who we need

Join our team as a People Services Assistant, where you’ll play a crucial role in our shared service team. Your primary responsibilities are offering administrative assistance throughout the entire employee lifecycle and processing changes for our monthly payroll.

You’ll engage with colleagues and managers through various channels such as email, phone, and in-person interactions, providing support on diverse topics including guidance on People Services procedures, assistance with maternity leave, pay queries, HR system support, and beyond.

In this collaborative environment, you’ll work closely with peers in the shared service team to meet our SLA’s and provide excellent customer service to colleagues.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for someone with great attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced setting, particularly during peak periods like payroll cycles or the start of term. The ideal candidate is a team player who works collaboratively and can prioritise workload to ensure our colleagues receive accurate responses, documentation and pay in a timely manner. You will have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Essential:

  • Experience in a busy administrative role
  • A customer-service focus, with experience dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Good maths skills and prior experience with excel
  • Experience working with information systems, such as HR systems

Desirable:

  • A previous HR role
  • Administering pensions schemes and benefits
  • Experience working in the Education sector
