Job description: MCS Group is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join a leading software house in Belfast on a Fixed Term Contract basis. This is a traditional IT Business Analyst role, taking new product features right through the software journey, end-to-end. As Business Analyst, you will work closely with the technical team to ensure feature delivery, and work from requirements gathering right through the cycle.

The Detail
You will work on new features across the business’s core product lines, always with the end-user in mind.
You will be an experienced ‘individual contributor’ able to take on requirements end-to-end through the traditional software journey.
This team get real exposure to varied projects and a diverse range of work.
You will create process flows, mock-ups and wire-frames, and get involved in creating prototypes.
The culture is genuinely supportive and collaborative, working closely across the different teams, helping each other wherever they can.
The Role
This role requires prior commercial experience in a similar position, working in a Business Analyst capacity, ideally on software projects, end-to-end.
You will have demonstrable experience of writing and gathering technical requirements, working closely with development and technical teams, creating functional specifications, creating high quality user stories, process mapping and working with an ‘end-user-perspective.’
You will have prior experience in an Agile environment and be familiar with Agile duties.
A background in software development or insurance are not essential, but either would be nice-to-haves!
Experience of working with a SaaS product is desirable.
Duration: Initially for 12 months fixed-term.
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (Negotiable, depending on experience)
