About the role

West Rise Infant School is looking for an exceptional Part time Deputy Headteacher to join the Leadership Team.

The school is in an exciting phase of development, with a unique Leadership structure and we need a passionate Deputy to support the Headteacher and SLT to drive school improvement.

The successful candidate will deliver an exciting first-class learning experience for all our children. The post carries specific responsibility for curriculum and assessment across Nursery, EYFS and KS1, together with a Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibility. The post currently carries a class teaching responsibility 0.4 within the Year Two team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with proven leadership skills an ability to work within a Senior Leadership team and an ambition to work within a flourishing school. Experience within a similar, dynamic Leadership team is essential for this post.

The successful candidate will:

  • Share responsibility for the day-to-day running of the school, assisting the Headteacher in the effective administration and management of the school.
  • Promote the positive Wellbeing First ethos of the school, fostering a welcoming, lively, safe and effective learning environment.
  • To assist in the promotion, direction and oversight of high standards of teaching and learning, pupil achievement and progress.
  • Inspire and motivate colleagues and contribute to the professional development of all members of the school community.
