Job description: We have a fantastic opportunity to work as a Voice Picking Warehouse Operative for our clients distribution centre which services its supermarket stores.
Staffline is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in Wakefield.
Working a full time fixed night shift:
– 8pm to 4am.
The rate of pay is £10.42 per hour.
Your Time at Work
As a voice picking warehouse operative, you will be required to:
– Pick stock using the voice picking system, whilst also operating an electric pallet truck.
– You will be allocated stock to pick on each shift, within a time frame to be completed.
– Manual handling is part of the role, as you need to place stock on the pallets ready for distribution.
– You are required to undertake a drug and alcohol test prior to starting your training.
– General warehouse duties and cleaning as you go is also required.
Our Perfect Worker
Whilst full training will be required, you will need to be confident in operating an electric pallet truck, must be able to work in a pick environment, where pick is measured and monitored. You will need to be able to communicate into and operate a voice pick headset. Must be able to handle alcoholic and non alcoholic goods and other products of different weights as manual handling is required. The shift is a permanent fixed nights rota, which includes working 5 over 7 including weekends, which you must be available to work.
Experience in similar role desirable, but not essential.
