Associate Learning Technologist at University of East Anglia
Job Description
Fixed term to 31 July 2024
Salary on appointment will be £28,929 per annum, with an annual increment up to £35,308 per annum
We are seeking an agile, responsive, organised and motivated person to join UEA’s Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning on a fixed term basis. As an Associate Learning Technologist we won’t expect you to have teaching experience or a teaching qualification, but you will have had some exposure to the ways people learn. Ideally you will have previously worked in an HE environment. Most importantly, you will be interested in the possibilities of digital education and have a technical agility that allows you to learn how to use lots of different systems with ease.
You will work with Learning Technologists and System Administrators to support academics and other colleagues while they transition from traditional teaching and learning workflows to digitised equivalents. This will be especially the case for online content delivery and digital assessment.
You will have a relevant degree (or equivalent qualification or commensurate experience) together with experience of working in an educational environment with students to deliver learning either face to face or online. Excellent presentation, negotiation and report writing skills are also essential along with attention to detail.
If this sounds like you, and you would be happy working in a hybrid team of cross-specialist colleagues, we look forward to receiving your application.
This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis to 31 July 2024.
UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.
Further information on our great benefits package, including 39 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days, can be found on our benefits page.
